Volleyball Game Preview: Providence Catholic Celtics vs. Lemont Lemont HS

The Providence Catholic Celtics will head out on the road to challenge the Lemont Lemont HS at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Providence Catholic beat De La Salle 2-0. The Celtics haven't had any issues with the Meteors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Providence Catholic never let De La Salle on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Lemont can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Tinley Park by a score of 2-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19.

Providence Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 8-18. As for Lemont, their win bumped their record up to 9-14.

Providence Catholic skirted past Lemont 2-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Celtics since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
