Softball Recap: Mead Mavericks vs. Holy Family Tigers
After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Mead finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They came up short against the Holy Family Tigers, falling 8-0. The Mavericks have struggled against the Tigers recently, as their game on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Mead's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Holy Family, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.
Mead will head out to challenge Fairview at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Holy Family, they will face off against Riverdale Ridge at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Riverdale Ridge knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Holy Family likes a good challenge.
