Softball Game Preview: Royal Falcons vs. Stafford Spartans

Royal is 1-9 against Stafford since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Falcons will challenge the Spartans at 8:00 a.m. Neither Royal nor Stafford posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Royal's tournament run continued when they took on Fort Bend Bush on Thursday. The Falcons lost 15-2 to the Broncos.

Meanwhile, Stafford came up short against Fort Bend Clements on Thursday, falling 20-2.

Noehli Torres was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Royal's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Stafford, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Royal suffered a grim 18-3 defeat to Stafford in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
