Softball Recap: Foothill Takes a Loss

Foothill saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Garden Grove Argonauts by a score of 3-2. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Schwartz Kaylee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Zamarippa Belle was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. Alyssa Arrazola also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Foothill's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Garden Grove, they moved to 4-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, Foothill and Garden Grove will both be playing El Dorado the next time they take the field. Foothill will host El Dorado at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Garden Grove will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
