Basketball Game Preview: Paint Valley Bearcats vs. Western Indians

The Paint Valley Bearcats will challenge the Western Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Paint Valley is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Paint Valley managed to keep up with Huntington until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Paint Valley lost 60-36 to Huntington.

Jase Rinehart put forth a good effort for the losing side as he went 5 of 10 en route to 12 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennen Ison, who posted five points.

Meanwhile, Western was just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 68-67 to North Adams. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (59), the Indians still had to take the loss.

Western's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Paint Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Paint Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Western in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 66-56. Will Paint Valley repeat their success, or does Western have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
