Mercy Culture Prep suffered a rough 60-40 defeat at the hands of Nazarene Christian Academy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mercy Culture Prep in their matchups with Nazarene Christian Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
Nazarene Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Marcus Jones out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. Jones set a new season high mark in blocks with two. Another player making a difference was Aidan Adams, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Mercy Culture Prep now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Nazarene Christian Academy, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mercy Culture Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ovilla Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. As for Nazarene Christian Academy, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Lucas Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th.
