Baseball Recap: Bordentown Scotties vs. Northern Burlington Greyhounds

Bordentown came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 14-4 to the Northern Burlington Greyhounds. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Scotties have suffered since April 1, 2024.

Connor Collora was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Collora wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Luke Guire, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Chris Basile also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
