North Surry is 8-2 against Wilkes Central since November of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The North Surry Greyhounds will look to defend their home court against the Wilkes Central Eagles at 7:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North Surry has four straight wins, Wilkes Central has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Tuesday, North Surry took their matchup with ease, bagging a 67-36 victory over East Wilkes.

Fisher Leftwich was his usual excellent self, going 9 of 11 on his way to 20 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kam McKnight, who posted ten points and seven assists.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Wilkes Central took on Surry Central on Wednesday. Wilkes Central came up short against Surry Central, falling 75-52. The Eagles were down 57-37 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

North Surry's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Wilkes Central, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

North Surry beat Wilkes Central 38-29 in their previous meeting back in January. Will North Surry repeat their success, or does Wilkes Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
