Basketball Recap: Make It 25 in a Row for Honaker

Honaker had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Twin Springs Titans with a sharp 36-12 victory on Thursday. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 20 games by 20 points or more this season.

Honaker's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alayna McNulty, who shot 78% from the field on her way to 16 points. The last time McNulty's shooting accuracy was this high was back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Carey Keene, who posted nine points along with eight boards and four steals.

The win was the 25th in a row for Honaker, bringing their record for this year to 26-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.6 points on average over those games. As for Twin Springs, they moved to 10-9 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Honaker has already played their next contest, a 47-39 victory against J.I. Burton on the 28th. Twin Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
