Soccer Game Preview: Somerset Academy vs. South Plantation

The Somerset Academy Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the South Plantation Paladins at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Somerset Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.6 goals per game this season.

South Plantation better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Somerset Academy really get things going. Somerset Academy put the hurt on South Florida HEAT with a sharp 4-1 victory on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won five games by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit South Florida HEAT with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Hayden Diel Zecca, Arianna Peck, Juliana Cortes, and Alba Cristobal.

Meanwhile, South Plantation earned a 3-1 win over Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday.

The victory got South Plantation back to even at 4-4-1. As for Somerset Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Somerset Academy was able to grind out a solid win over South Plantation in their previous meeting back in January, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Somerset Academy since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
