Football Recap: Metuchen Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Metuchen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 14-7 to the Johnson Crusaders. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Crusaders from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Cameron Hayes-Durina threw for 137 yards and one TD. Justus Leitner was his top target, picking up 81 receiving yards.

Metuchen's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Johnson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Metuchen will head out on the road to challenge Highland Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Johnson, they will be playing at home against Governor Livingston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
