Baseball Recap: Venture Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Venture Academy waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Millennium Falcons with a sharp 7-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 14 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Isaac Stewart, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Omarion Walker was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Venture Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Millennium, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Venture Academy will challenge rival Turlock Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mustangs 1.8, the Eagles 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Millennium is set to take on their familiar foe River Islands at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
