Basketball Recap: Balko/Forgan Skates Past Yarbrough/Felt with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Balko/Forgan). They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 62-24 victory over Yarbrough/Felt. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Balko/Forgan had established a 35 point advantage.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Balko/Forgan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Halle Littau, who went 5 for 11 on her way to 13 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Littau is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brya Appelhans, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 11 points and seven steals.

Balko/Forgan was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Balko/Forgan is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Balko/Forgan and Buffalo will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Yarbrough/Felt, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rolla at 6:30 p.m. on January 24, 2025.
