The Atlantic Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Mater Academy Charter Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Atlantic will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Atlantic is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Plantation 19-4. Considering the Eagles have won six games by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Landon Thompson was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Atlantic is 4-2 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 4-7 otherwise. Thompson was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game.
In other batting news, Darrion Darby was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan Reich, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Atlantic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .735. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Mater Academy Charter waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Vipers.
Mater Academy Charter also got a great performance from Alfrin Rosario as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Rosario has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Mater Academy Charter let Yodelkis Quevedo and Eiker Noguera run wild. Quevedo went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run, while Noguera got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryan Fernandez, who went 2-for-4 with one triple.
Atlantic's record is now 8-9. As for Mater Academy Charter, their record now sits at 17-9-1.
