Basketball Recap: Austin Takes a Loss

Austin lost against Akins back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Austin Maroons fell to the Akins Eagles 43-39. The Maroons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Austin's loss dropped their record down to 7-20. As for Akins, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-15.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Bowie the next time they take the court. Akins will head out to face Bowie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Austin will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
