Deerfield-Windsor had won six straight games dating back to last season and Lane Sceals did his part to make it seven on Friday. Everything went the Knights' way against the Southwest Georgia Academy Warriors as they made off with a 28-8 win for which the team can thank Sceals, who threw for 267 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.7% of his passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played.

Deerfield-Windsor's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Southwest Georgia Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Deerfield-Windsor will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Terrell Academy at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th.
