Pecos won the last time they faced Santa Rosa and things went their way on Saturday too. The Pecos Panthers walked away with a 47-40 victory over the Santa Rosa Lions. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Willow Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Bailey Johnson, who posted ten points and seven rebounds.

Pecos' win bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Santa Rosa, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

Coincidentally, Pecos and Santa Rosa will both be playing Estancia the next time they take the court. Pecos will head out to face Estancia at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Santa Rosa will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
