After flying high against North Canyon last Tuesday, Buckeye came back down to earth. The Buckeye Hawks lost 3-0 to the Verrado Vipers on Thursday. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Vipers recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Despite the loss, Buckeye still got an impressive performance from Jozlyn Dennis, who had ten digs and two aces. Dennis is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last seven games she's played dating back to last season.
Buckeye's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-7. As for Verrado, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8.
Buckeye has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Paradise Valley on the 15th. As for Verrado, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Sunrise Mountain on the 11th.
