Basketball Game Preview: Louisville Leopards vs. East Dragons

The Louisville Leopards will hit the road for the first time this season to take on the East Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. East took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Louisville, who comes in off a win.

Last Saturday, Louisville humbled Walsh Jesuit with a 79-42 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Leopards.

Beau Siegfried and Brayden Gross were among the main playmakers for Louisville as the former went 7 for 13 on his way to 21 points in addition to six assists and four steals and the latter went 8 of 13 en route to 19 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. That's the most assists Gross has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Andrejcik, who posted 12 points.

Louisville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, East had to suffer through a 78-50 loss at the hands of Garfield Community Learning Center. The Dragons have struggled against the Golden Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Louisville's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.1 points per game. As for East, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
