Despite the loss, Maxwell got top-tier performance from Jesse Reyes, who rushed for 125 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 237 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes. Reyes is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Maxwell will have to contain Coy Armstrong as he made an impact in Bayard's last game. He threw for 147 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 32 yards and one TD.
Maxwell's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Bayard, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
