Soccer Recap: Key West Beats Marathon for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Key West). They never let the Marathon Dolphins get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Thursday. With that victory, Key West brought their scoring average up to 3.2 goals per game.

Their offense was hitting Marathon from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Evens Louis led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The win was the fourth in a row for Key West, bringing their record up to 4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four matches. As for Marathon, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

Key West and Marathon will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Conchs see the pitch they'll take on Scheck Hillel Community School at 7:00 p.m. on December 4. As for Marathon, their break will end when they face Westwood Christian at 4:00 p.m. on December 2.
