Volleyball Recap: Foster Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Foster was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Renton on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Tyee Titans by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 28, 2021, but that streak is no more.

Foster actually scored more points across those five sets (100-99), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 28-26, 25-15, 9-25, 15-9.

Shonise Whitted paced Foster's offense, picking up 11 kills. Whitted got some help from Mady Martin and her 15 assists. Martin was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Foster's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Tyee, their victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 8-10-1.

Foster didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Interlake on the 27th. As for Tyee, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Lindbergh on the 27th.
