Baseball Game Preview: Coronado Dons vs. Cortez Colts

Coronado is on a four-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Cortez a nine-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Coronado Dons will look to defend their home field against the Cortez Colts at 3:45 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Coronado is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They lost 20-8 to Kellis last Thursday.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Cortez's offense. They came up short against Elizabeth on Thursday, falling 24-0.

Cortez's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Coronado, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Coronado skirted past Cortez 12-11 in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Do the Dons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Colts turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
