Basketball Game Preview: Lynn Classical Rams vs. Medford Mustangs

The Lynn Classical Rams will face off against the Medford Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Lynn Classical's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.

Last Tuesday, Lynn Classical was able to grind out a solid victory over Swampscott, taking the game 69-59. The win was all the more spectacular given the Rams' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 146th, while the Big Blue are ranked 15th).

Meanwhile, everything went Medford's way against Malden on Wednesday as Medford made off with a 60-40 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Medford's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4. As for Lynn Classical, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Lynn Classical didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Medford when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 62-57 win. Will Lynn Classical repeat their success, or does Medford have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
