Baseball Game Preview: Mildred Eagles vs. Cayuga Wildcats

The Mildred Eagles will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Cayuga Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mildred will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Mildred is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Wortham get on the board and left with a 24-0 victory on Tuesday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Cayuga fell victim to Grapeland and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sandies. It was the first time this season that the Wildcats let down their fans at home.

Levi McMahon was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Cayuga's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Mildred, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.
