Baseball Game Preview: Woodbridge Vikings vs. Forest Park Bruins

The Woodbridge Vikings will venture away from home to challenge the Forest Park Bruins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodbridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Woodbridge is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest victory since May 17, 2024 on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against George C. Marshall, sneaking past 3-1.

Noah Parker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Woodbridge is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 4-5 otherwise.

At the plate, Ethan Simoneau was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Aiden Simoneau, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Forest Park's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They came up short against Berkeley, falling 9-3.

Woodbridge's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Forest Park, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Everything went Woodbridge's way against Forest Park when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Woodbridge made off with a 7-0 victory. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bruins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
