Ridge is 7-2 against Somerville since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Red Devil will look to defend their home field against the Pioneers at 11:00 a.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Ridge turned things around against Bridgewater-Raritan on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Panthers 4-3.

Meanwhile, Somerville posted their closest victory since April 13th on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Montgomery 10-8. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Somerville's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 17-7.

Ridge was able to grind out a solid victory over Somerville in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, winning 3-0. Do the Red Devil have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pioneers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
