Basketball Recap: Wellspring Prep Comes Up Short

Wellspring Prep won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They had to suffer through a 75-43 loss at the hands of the Muskegon Catholic Central Crusaders. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Wellspring Prep this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 75-65 back in December of 2024.

Wellspring Prep's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Muskegon Catholic Central, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-5.

Wellspring Prep will be playing at home against Hastings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Muskegon Catholic Central, they will head out on the road to challenge North Muskegon at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in North Muskegon's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.
