Basketball Game Preview: St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse vs. Upper Columbia Academy Lions

St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse will take on the Upper Columbia Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Odessa on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse was dealt a 64-28 loss at the hands of Odessa. St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-8.

Despite their defeat, St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Loren Loomis, who posted seven points along with nine boards and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Ember Brewer, who earned six points and six steals.

Meanwhile, Upper Columbia Academy had to suffer through a 58-16 loss at the hands of Colfax.

Upper Columbia Academy's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. As for St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse took a serious blow against Upper Columbia Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 64-25. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse was down 33-11.
