Basketball Game Preview: Attica Red Ramblers vs. Providence Cristo Rey Wolves

The Attica Red Ramblers will face off against the Providence Cristo Rey Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Attica is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Attica managed to keep up with Fountain Central until halftime two weeks ago, but things quickly went downhill from there. Attica was dealt a 51-22 defeat at the hands of Fountain Central. The match marked the Red Ramblers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Attica saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Caiden Ashley posted six points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Providence Cristo Rey, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past Central Christian Academy, posting a 64-31 victory. While the Wolves didn't have the best season last year (they finished 1-21), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Providence Cristo Rey's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Attica, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
