Last Friday, Lumpkin County kept a clean sheet against Union County. They blew past the Panthers 10-0. Ten seems to be a good number for Lumpkin County as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Tallulah Falls earned a 2-0 win over Prince Avenue Christian on Thursday.
Tallulah Falls was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Laurel Kafsky and
Jenna Chesser, who scored both of Tallulah Falls' goals. The pair have combined for a total of five so far this season.
Lumpkin County's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Tallulah Falls, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Lumpkin County was able to grind out a solid win over Tallulah Falls in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, winning 4-2. Will Lumpkin County repeat their success, or does Tallulah Falls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
