Graves also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble and making one tackle. Another player making a difference was Nathan Simpson, who picked up 94 receiving yards and one touchdown.
One reason for the win was Volunteer's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for nine sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Christian Wilson and Connor Begley, who racked up five sacks between them. Wilson also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with ten.
