Basketball Recap: Colfax-Mingo Takes a Loss

Colfax-Mingo won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They were outmatched by the Lynnville-Sully Hawks and fell 64-22. The Tigerhawks have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Colfax-Mingo's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lynnville-Sully, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Colfax-Mingo will welcome Montezuma at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lynnville-Sully, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Mahaska at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Mahaska knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Lynnville-Sully likes a good challenge.
