Soccer Recap: Silver Bluff Comes Up Short

Silver Bluff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against Newberry, falling 9-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Newberry this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 back in March.

Silver Bluff's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Newberry, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7-1 record this season.

Silver Bluff does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newberry, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-2 win against Pelion on the 28th.
