Notre Dame Prep won the last time they faced Avondale and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Fighting Irish blew past the Yellowjackets 17-2. Considering the Fighting Irish have won five contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Notre Dame Prep has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Avondale, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Notre Dame Prep will head out to challenge Troy at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. As for Avondale, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 20-0 defeat against Lutheran Northwest on the 16th.
