Basketball Recap: Marion P. Thomas Drops Season-High Score on People's Prep

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marion P. Thomas). They claimed a resounding 79-37 win over People's Prep. The victory continues a trend for Marion P. Thomas in their matchups with People's Prep: they've now won six in a row.

Marion P. Thomas found their leader in sophomore Nairi Latham, who posted 21 points. Latham continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Marion P. Thomas' win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for People's Prep, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Marion P. Thomas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 60-31 loss against Weehawken on the 6th. People's Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Weequahic at 7:00 p.m. on February 20th.
