Parkside hasn't had much luck against Decatur recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Seahawks at 4:00 p.m. Decatur took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Parkside, who comes in off a win.
Parkside's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Wicomico as they made off with a 20-0 win. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by ten runs or more this season.

Brecklyn Bounds made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Julia Bright was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Cheyenne Cantwell, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBI.
Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Decatur's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Delmar on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Seahawks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Decatur saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Donoway, who went 1-for-3 with one double.
The victory made it two in a row for Parkside and bumps their season record up to 7-7-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Decatur, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Parkside has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .447. However, it's not like Decatur struggles in that department as they've averaged .482. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Parkside might still be hurting after the 15-1 defeat they got from Decatur in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
