Meanwhile, Rockingham County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 55-22 win over Asheboro. The Cougars pushed the score to 46-16 by the end of the third, a deficit the Blue Comets had little chance of recovering from.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bethany Community fell to 2-1. As for Rockingham County, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
