Baseball Game Preview: Valley Rams vs. Marbury Bulldogs

The Valley Rams will take on the Marbury Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Valley comes in on ten and Marbury on three.

On Saturday, Valley beat Cleburne County 6-2.

Valley let Carter Green and Ty Monteith run wild. Green scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Monteith scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Monteith is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stole at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole House, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Marbury was able to grind out a solid victory over Stanhope Elmore on Saturday, taking the game 8-5.

Valley's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Marbury, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
