Volleyball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Joshua + How To Watch

Joshua had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Seguin Cougars. The Owls have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Joshua took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-7, 25-11.

Leading Joshua to victory were Madilyn Lacey and Becca Duran. Lacey had ten digs and two aces, while Duran had five digs and three aces. Lacey has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 12 times she's played. Savannah Trammell also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Joshua was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Joshua's win bumped their record up to 21-9. As for Seguin, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Joshua didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Centennial on the 23rd. As for Seguin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Burleson on the 23rd.
