Baseball Recap: Hollis-Brookline Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Hollis-Brookline never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past the Coe-Brown Academy Bears 13-0. That's two games straight that the Cavaliers have won by exactly 13 runs.

Hollis-Brookline got a great performance from Ian Sinclair as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Sinclair has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Paul Gehan, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tyler Gryniewicz, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Hollis-Brookline was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .379 or higher in five consecutive contests.

Hollis-Brookline's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Coe-Brown Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.
