Mique Juarez, a 5-star linebacker from North (Torrance, Calif.), has picked UCLA as his college choice.

Juarez was a standout at quarterback this year, but he is ranked as the No. 2 outside linebacker in the nation by 247Sports and the No. 16 player overall. The 6-foot-2, 230-pound standout originally committed to USC, but decommitted after the firing of coach Steve Sarkisian.

Juarez was named the All-Southland Player of the Year by the Los Angeles Times and was also the Player of the Year by the Torrance Daily Breeze. Also a MaxPreps All-American, Juarez completed 122 of 239 passes for 1,658 yards and 23 touchdowns and also rushed 146 times for 1,370 yards and 36 scores. On defense, he had 146 tackles, including 21 tackles for loss.
