Volleyball Recap: Lincoln-Way Central Takes a Loss

Lincoln-Way Central saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Hononegah Indians.

Hononegah's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Owen Rollinson led the charge by getting 27 assists and six digs. That's the most digs Rollinson has posted over his last five contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Duer, who had 14 digs.

Lincoln-Way Central's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Hononegah, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln-Way Central will square off against Lockport at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hononegah, they will take on Belvidere North at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians are facing the Blue Thunder at the right time seeing as the Blue Thunder are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
