Del Rio is 9-1 against Laredo LBJ since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Del Rio Rams will host the Laredo LBJ Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Del Rio is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Del Rio managed to slip by Cornerstone Christian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Del Rio lost 11-3 to Cornerstone Christian on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Laredo LBJ). They blew past Edinburg North 14-5 on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wolves considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Laredo LBJ got a great performance from Jorge Salazar as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits.

On the hitting side, Luis Nino was a standout: he scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Leonardo Alvarez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Laredo LBJ is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. Del Rio's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Del Rio skirted past Laredo LBJ 4-3 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Will Del Rio repeat their success, or does Laredo LBJ have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
