Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Loss Ends Crawford's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Crawford unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Frenship Tigers. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Pirates were not able to get on the board.

While Crawford had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21.

Camryn Powers paced Crawford's offense, picking up seven kills. Powers got some help from Ainsley Anderson and her 12 assists.

Crawford's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Frenship, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Crawford has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Aledo on the 22nd. As for Frenship, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Forney on the 22nd.
