Baseball Recap: Salem Takes a Loss

Salem lost against First Colonial back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Salem lost 18-2 to First Colonial. The defeat leaves the Sundevils still looking for their first win of the season.

Salem saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Cooper, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Grayson Moore also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Salem's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for First Colonial, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Salem will take on rival Green Run at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, First Colonial is set to square off against their familiar foe Princess Anne at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
