Flag Football Recap: Los Osos Grizzlies vs. Etiwanda Eagles
After soaring to 47 points the game before, Los Osos was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 45-6 loss at the hands of the Etiwanda Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 371st, while the Eagles are ranked 25th).
Etiwanda got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was CASSANDRA VAZQUEZ out in front who threw for 190 yards and four TDs. VAZQUEZ has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times she's played. Another receiver making a difference was NAHDEEN PURVIS-ROMERO, who picked up 155 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Los Osos has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12-1 record this season. As for Etiwanda, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-3.
