Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Bronson

Bronson entered their tilt with White Pigeon on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Chiefs with a sharp 12-1 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-3 on Thursday.

Owen Kimmons was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Kimmons was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Carson Stevens and Joseph Fair did most of the damage at the plate: Stevens went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Fair went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three hits gave Fair a new career-high. Carter Sikorski also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Bronson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.

Bronson's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for White Pigeon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bronson will venture away from home to square off against Angola at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for White Pigeon, they will head out to challenge Litchfield at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
