Port Huron had lost six games straight , but after bumping their record up to 2-9 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They blew past the Port Huron Northern Huskies 11-5. The Red Hawks' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last five games.

As for Port Huron Northern, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

For Port Huron Northern's part, Kegan Finn was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Finn was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season.

In other batting news, Owen Hill made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Kevony Hajarie also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Port Huron will have a chance to go back-to-back against Port Huron Northern: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
