Football Recap: Hinkley Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

Hinkley had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 63-6 loss at the hands of the Englewood Pirates on Friday. The Thunder lost against the Pirates in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 34-0 score last time.

Englewood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daniel Cullin led the charge by rushing for 15 yards and three TDs. Nate Frausto was another key back, rushing for 65 yards and one touchdown.

Coming up, Hinkley will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Skyview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Englewood, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Denver West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
